In 1982, the Museum of Outdoor Arts commissioned George Hargreaves to design a spectacular outdoor "earth sculpture" that would have function as well as form. The results inspired Comfort Dental Amphitheatre, which is itself rooted in Irish lore and legend, particularly surrounding seafaring sailors. Since the late 1980s, Comfort Dental Amphitheatre has been a popular, picturesque concert venue for the greater Denver metropolitan area. Still known informally as Fiddler's Green, Comfort Dental Amphitheatre can seat up to 18,000 spectators in a beautiful outdoor setting. When buying tickets, know that seats differ, with a casual lawn area towards the back (be sure to bring a blanket to sit on) and fixed seats closer to the stage.
